The scientific and research activities of the staff of the Department of Engineering Structures are concentrated in the following research areas:

• Numerical simulations and experimental investigations of concrete, reinforced concrete and prestressed elements
• Numerical analyses and tests of frame, truss and shell structures
• Service load modelling and dynamic analysis of bridge structures
• Diagnostics and monitoring of engineering structures and buildings

Scientific and research activities are carried out in research groups.
