Scientific circle: Microbiology in Environmental Engineering (MEE)

Interdisciplinary scientific circle of Gdansk University of Technology Students - Microbiology in Environmental Engineering has been operating since 2010

 

As part of the MEE, the following research projects are carried out:

  1. Impact of groundwater exudates on microbial communities occurring in the shallow littoral zone of the sandy beach.

  2. Sanitary status of sand and coastal waters in the area of ​​"small" beach in Hel.

  3. Mercury in the marine environment against the background of weather anomalies.

  4. The susceptibility of water distributed in the water supply network to secondary bacterial growth.

  5. Microbiological quality of air in the environment of the Waste Management Plant "Eko Dolina" Sp. with o.o. in Łężyce.

  6. Phosphorus accumulating bacteria (PAO) in the denitrification process supported by the external source of coal in municipal sewage treatment plants.

  7. Analysis of the operation and exploitation of the wastewater treatment system for a single-family house on the example of a household sewage treatment plant with subsurface leaching system.
