Representatives of the Gdansk Tech at a scientific and research meeting in Germany | Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Gdańsk University of Technology

The main purpose of the travel was a meeting with the Head of the Chair of Rail Vehicles - prof. M. Hecht at the Technische Universitat Berlin. During the meeting, Dr. Ing. Roksana Licow showed a presentation about the Gdańsk University of Technology and projects implemented by the Rail Transport Team, M.Sc. Natalia Karkosińska - Brzozowska talked about the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Transport Engineering while Maciej Wolski (KoDiK-Road and Railway Engineering Scientific Club) presented the activities of the Student Organization. As part of the meeting, prof. M. Hecht presented lecture about "Diesel traction and alternative drive systems for rail vehicles" and presented key projects implemented by the TUB Rail Vehicle Team. Then prof. M. Hecht presented the Laboratory and discussed specialized equipment which is used in research of rail vehicles. The meeting gave a chance for the exchange of valuable experiences, knowledge and good practices in the field of rail transport which we hope will introduction into innovative joint projects.
