Gdańsk University of Technology ranks second in Poland

THE IMPACT LABEL
Gdańsk University of Technology was ranked 401-600 in the world and second in Poland in the prestigious international ranking assessing the university's involvement in the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals - The Impact Rankings.

THE Impact Rankings are an overall ranking and detailed rankings taking into account the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This year's ranking is the sixth in a row, and the interest in the ranking is greater every year - 467 scientists took part in the first edition, and as many as 1,963 in the current one. The number of points obtained by PG in this year's edition is 73.9 out of 100, which means an increase year-on-year by 8.9 points (from 65 points in 2023) and a promotion in the global ranking from positions 601-800 to positions 401-600 , and in the national ranking from positions 4-8 to 2nd place. In 2024, GUT submitted data for 12 out of 17 sustainable development goals to THE Impact ranking. In the classification of Polish universities, GUT is the leader in the ranking for three goals (6. Clean water and sanitary conditions, 12. Responsible consumption and production and 17. Partnerships for goals). Additionally, it was ranked 1-3 for Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and 1-4 for Goal 7: Clean and Affordable Energy In the global classification, PG achieved a position in the range of 101-200 for as many as four goals (goal 6. Clean water and sanitation, goal 12. Responsible consumption and production, goal 17. Partnership for the goals, goal 11. Sustainable cities and communities).
