GdanskTech is the best Polish technical university in THE WUR 2025 Ranking

Gdańsk University of Technology maintained its position in the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 (THE WUR). This year's edition classified 2,092 universities from all over the world, 188 institutions more compared to the previous year.

In this year's edition of the PG ranking, it was placed in the 1001-1200 range. This position places it jointly 5th in Poland. She obtained a total of 30.7-34.4 points (in the last edition 28.3-32.6). GdanskTech and the AGH University of Science and Technology are the highest-ranked Polish technical universities in THE WUR 2025 ranking. THE WUR 2025 ranking uses 18 indicators grouped in five areas: Teaching – Teaching (learning environment) – 29.5%, Research Environment – ​​Research environment (size, income and reputation) – 29%, Research quality – Research quality (citation impact, research strength, research excellence and research impact) – 30%, International Outlook – Internationalization (employees, students and research) – 7.5%, Industry – Industry (income and patents) – 4%. GdanskTech achieved the best results in the following areas: Industry – 812th in the world Research Environment – ​​958th in the world Research Quality – 1044th in the world The ranking included 39 Polish universities, which is two more compared to the previous edition. The highest score was given to the Medical University of Wrocław (in the range of 501-600), followed by the Jagiellonian University and the University of Warsaw (601-800). In the 1001-1200 range, apart from GdanskTech and AGH, there were also the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and three medical universities in Gdańsk, Białystok and Warsaw.
