On December 3rd, the Gdańsk University of Technology will open its Eco-Innovation Center. Tackling major global challenges such as flood and drought mitigation, resource and energy recovery, wind energy development, using waste materials for concrete production, and water pollution removal will be among the key research areas pursued at the Center.

In this state-of-the-art “green” research center, solutions will be developed to enhance safety and quality of life in an environmentally friendly way while improving the state of our natural surroundings.

The official opening of the center will take place on Tuesday, December 3rd, at 11:00 AM.

The event will kick off with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at the main entrance of the Eco-Innovation Center on Siedlicka Street. Following that, there will be a presentation about the project, keynote speeches, a tour of the facility, and a molecular cuisine demonstration. To conclude, guests are invited to attend a lecture by Professor Szymon Malinowski, a prominent Polish atmospheric physicist, Earth sciences professor, corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the subject of Jonathan L. Ramsey’s documentary “It’s Okay to Panic.”
