Graduates of Geodesy and Cartography received awards in the nationwide competition for the best diploma theses! | Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Gdańsk University of Technology

Huge congratulations to Monika Bejrowska and Agata Adamczyk, graduates of Geodesy and Cartography at the Gdańsk University of Technology!

Proudly, we want to share fantastic news! In the NOT Hall in Warsaw, a ceremony was held to award prizes in the nationwide competition for the best diploma theses (edition 2022/23). This extraordinary event was an opportunity to honor the remarkable achievements of our talented graduates as well.

The awards were presented by the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, Prof. Maria Mrówczyńska, the Chief Geodesist of the Country, Mrs. Alicja Kulka, the President of the Polish Surveyors Association, and the Dean of the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography at the Warsaw University of Technology, Prof. Janusz Walo, as well as Mateusz Maślanka - ESRI Polska.

Monika Bejrowska won the second place for her exceptional master's thesis titled "Method of extracting the shoreline to determine the area of permissible maneuvers of an autonomous unmanned floating platform based on the fusion of sensory images from LiDAR and video cameras."

Equally warm congratulations go to Agata Adamczyk, who shared the third place for her thesis "BIM modeling in construction analysis."

In the audience, they were accompanied by their supervisor, Ph.D. Eng. Paweł Tysiąc (deputy head of the Department of Geodesy), and the Vice-Dean for Research and Development, Ph.D. Eng. Jakub Szulwic.

We cannot forget to express our gratitude to our invaluable supervisors, Prof. Ph.D. habil. Eng. Andrzej Stateczny and Ph.D. Eng. Paweł Tysiąc, for their invaluable support and professional guidance in scientific work.

This extraordinary achievement confirms the high level of knowledge and commitment of our graduates.
