Teaching

The staff of the Department of Geotechnical and Hydraulic Engineering give classes for students of every programme offered by the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as some offered by the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology.

The Department tends to two specialisations offered for the BSc and MSc students of Civil Engineering: Geotechnika (Geotechnics), and Budownictwo Wodne i Morskie (Marine Civil Engineering and Water Resource Engineering), as well as one offered for the students of Environmental Engineering: Inżynieria Wodna (Hydraulic Engineering). Our Department is also involved in every specialisation offered for the students of Environmental Engineering.

Students meet the Department staff during classes such as Geology, Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering, Water Resources, Landfill Engineering, Harbours and Waterways, Sea Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics, Hydrology, Water Engineering, Water Management and many more.

The staff of the Department of Geotechnical and Hydraulic Engineering is offering a variety of BSc and MSc thesis topics that can interest a student of any background.
