Course objectives
The objective of the Blended Intensive Program is to gain a global perspective and feel an intercultural climate during technical and scientific work related to the latest methods and technologies for evaluating and maintaining the integrity of critical infrastructure and buildings. Combining interactive online modules with practical, hands-on sessions, participants will gain in-depth knowledge of advanced inspection techniques, diagnostic tools, and strategies for extending the lifespan of structures. Students will participate in lectures delivered by visiting professors and members of industry and government from different branches of the construction industry – roads, railways, bridges and buildings. The Blended Intensive Program focuses on the topic of monitoring and evaluation of infrastructure and building, with different topics from the start of construction (design and planning), through the construction itself as considering long-term service life and maintenance, finishing at various techniques of assessing the construction condition.

In the different lectures/workshops and plenary sessions, the different contexts will be illustrated and discussed.
