On-line Meeting ''Urban Water Management in Cities''

Urban Water Management in Cities, is the title of an international symposium, which will be held In collaboration with the Civil Engineering Department at Tishk International University (Kurdistan Region) of Iraq.

The on-line meeting will be held on December 15th, 2021. at 10.30 a.m. Ph.D., D. Sc., Eng. Michał Szydłowski, Ph.D. Eng. Wojciech Szpakowski and PhD student M. Eng. Andam Mustafa from Department of Hydro-engineering will present a presentations about the urban flash floods.

Section of Structural Mechanics and Materials

The Section of Structural Mechanics and Materials deals with the modeling of materials and structures, paying particular attention to the theoretical foundations and computational models.

The members of the Section are members of the Civil Engineering Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences who conduct research on topics consistent with the areas of the Section's activity.

On December 3th and 8th you will have a chance to find out more about opportunities to study abroad and learn about education in universities belonging to Erasmus+ Programme.

Our students will tell a few words about their Erasmus+ experience. Participants will be able to talk directly with foreign students (currently studying as part of an exchange at our Faculty) and learn more about universities, cities and student life abroad.

Cafe Lingua is a weekly event organized by the Language Centre together with the Academic Sport Centre and Mathematics Centre. Polish and international students meet to socialise and communicate in different languages in a relaxed atmosphere.

In Café Lingua you will have a chance to meet new people, speak any language you wish, take part in quizzes, team games and activities. You can also enjoy amazing karaoke nights with us.

English is going to be the main language of communication, but we will also arrange other language zones, such as Spanish, German, Italian, Polish or Chinese, it is up to you how many.

Visit of teachers and students from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences

Between 16-24th of Nov. 2021, Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Gdańsk Tech, hosts a group of teachers and students from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.

The developed program is implemented jointly by students from the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (as part of the M&EM course) and Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. One of the elements of the initiative is the participation of students in lectures on climate change, sustainable development, project implementation and an engineering approach to increasing city resilience.

Announcement about the obligation to wear masks at Gdańsk Tech

Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdańsk University of Technology, reminds employees and students of the obligation to cover their mouth and nose in buildings around the university premises.

Pursuant to Regulation No. 66/2021, students, doctoral students, participants of postgraduate studies, university employees and other persons conducting classes are required to cover their mouth and nose with a mask in generally accessible places, in all campus buildings.
