The METEOPG Weather Portal provides weather forecasts from the high-resolution version of the mesoscale model HRWRF 3.8.1/3.9.1.1 (High Resolution Weather Research and Forecasting). The portal is a joint initiative of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology and the IT Center of the Gdańsk University of Technology (TASK).
In the development of the weather service, employees of the Department of Geodesy at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology are involved, including:
Prof. Ph.D. habil. Eng. Mariusz Figurski - Head of the METEOPG team, responsible for numerical simulations using the WRF model.
Ph.D. Eng. Grzegorz Nykiel - Data processing, analysis, and validation of results.
